Select the size and style you'd like from the online shop.
2. Send Your Clothing
Post your treasured clothing to me or drop it off if your in Wellington.
3. Handmade with Care
I carefully create your one-of-a-kind memory bear, making the most of special details like pockets, buttons, embroidery and patterns whenever possible.
4. Receive Your Keepsake
Your finished bear is packaged and carefully returned to you, along with any unused fabric if you wish.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS AN ORDER?
I make every effort to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. As each item is personal and handcrafted this can take some time, but don't worry I keep you informed of my waiting time in my information email I send to you!. Usually this is 4-6 weeks from receiving your items.
I can undertake “rush” orders for a extra fee and I am happy to discuss your needs with you.
WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?
I ship domestically via NZ POST signature required I charge a flat rate of 25.00 covering packing and courier costs I do not post to P O Box numbers. Shipping times depend on your location and NZ Post timeframes which can be seen at the nz post tracker website. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped which includes your tracking number so you can follow its delivery.

Welcome to Stitching Memories.
I'm the maker behind every memory bear and keepsake that leaves my sewing room.
Before starting Stitching Memories, I spent many years as a nurse. During that time, I saw first-hand how important memories become when we lose someone we love. Sewing has always been part of my life. I grew up in a family where creativity was encouraged, and my mum had her own business in the clothing industry. She taught me many of the skills I still use today, and my love of sewing naturally grew into a passion for quilting and creating handmade keepsakes.
Sadly, I lost my mum suddenly several years ago. I understand the heartache and the empty space that losing someone special leaves behind. She never had the chance to meet my beautiful granddaughter, but I look forward to sharing stories about the wonderful woman she was as my granddaughter grows. That experience has given me an even deeper appreciation for preserving memories in meaningful ways.
I know that when someone sends me a favourite shirt, a baby's first outfit, or a loved one's treasured clothing, they are trusting me with something truly irreplaceable. That trust is never taken lightly. Every bear is handcrafted with patience, care and respect, because I understand that I'm not simply making a keepsake—I'm helping preserve a precious memory that can be hugged, displayed and cherished for generations to come.
And every small business needs a great team! My husband is my official quality controller and packer. He carefully checks each keepsake before it is packaged and sent on its way to its new home. I couldn't do it without his support—and he takes his quality control role very seriously!
